Paperbark Camp, Woollamia New South Wales: Ok, so this is the more expensive side of glamping. Paperbark is situated in the beautiful south coast of New South Wales in the Jervis Bay area. It’s about a 2.5-hour drive from Sydney and is home to some of the most amazing beaches Australia has to offer. Wingtons Glamping, Clarence Point, Tasmania: Yes, the name of the place has ‘glamping’ in it, so you know there’s not going to be any ‘roughing it’ with these guys. The site is situated on the banks of the beautiful Tamar River so you will also have water views. Their safari tents come with queen beds with Egyptian cotton linen and include vintage steamer trunks and Persian style carpets- luxury at it’s finest! From here you can travel out to sample the produce and wine of the region or hike through the wilderness or relax on the shores of the white sandy beaches. This accommodation may not be all that glamorous, but it’s pretty cool. The Hat Cave is a huge sandstone cathedral that can be accessed via a 500-meter walking track. Whilst you have to bring your sleeping bags the cave does come with some comforts like a gas barbeque, ice box, table and chairs, solar-powered lights, rainwater on tap, a kitchen sink and utensils, kindling for the campfire as well as a toilet. This place is perfect for groups and families who want to ‘rough it’ a little. The perfect setting to make smores around a campfire!
